Manage users rights
Each user has:
- a role, to define the available features for the user
- permissions, to define the assets accessible to the user
To change the role of a user:
- Click on the Administration menu
- Click on the Users submenu
- Find the row of the user and click on the edition button (pencil icon)
- In the left-block, find the “Role” section and select the role to affect to the user
- Confirm with the “Update” button
Features available for each role are defined here.
To change permissions of a user and its accessible assets:
- Click on the Administration menu
- Click on the Users submenu
- Find the row of the user and click on the edition button (pencil icon)
- In the “Permissions” block (right-block), tick the “Allow the user to access to all assets” checkbox for full access or specifically add / delete the group(s) to which the user must access
Warning:
- By default, a new user account has access to none of the assets
- A user account with administrator rights has a total access to all Cyberwatch features and resources
- A user account cannot remove its own administrator rights
