Use WALLIX for agentless connections

Prerequisites on your WALLIX Bastion

  • A user account to access the API + a password or key
  • A group to which the user belongs
  • A group to which the targeted resources you need to access belong
  • A password checkout authorization between the user group and the resources group
  • Approval requests deactivated by default for the resources you need to access

Configure a WALLIX Bastion

  1. From section Assets, go to menu Settings > Stored credentials.
  2. Click Add in the top right corner.
  3. Select type WALLIX Bastion and fill in the form.
  4. Save.

Create an agentless connection with WALLIX

  1. Click on Assets management > Agentless connections
  2. Click on Add
  3. In “Access protocol”, select SSH or WinRM.
  4. Select as Credentials your WALLIX Bastion configured as above.
  5. In the “Login” field, enter the login stored on WALLIX in the “accountname@domain” or “accountname@domain@devicename” format, regarding the targeted asset. This information is available in the WALLIX interface, in “Resources > Accounts” section
